We can easily accommodate up to 3 couples and a couple solo folks at our house, but if there is a need (or desire) to get your own digs, there are a number of short-term rental options nearby.

This place is nice - our friends stayed here once so I can vouch for it. Short drive (~10min) from our house. Could easily accommodate 4 people, more if you’re willing to share bedrooms (plus there is a large living room which could be used as an extra bedroom). Former residence of a local artist and contains a bunch of his work which is a nice little bonus.

While technically in Sidney Center, we are probably only 1000ft or so outside the village of Franklin, which is a charming little town with a handful of shops. This house is around an 8-10 minute drive from our house, just down the mountain. Fun fact, we considered buying this house in 2023! It has since been renovated and turned into a short-term rental. This is a good option if you would prefer to be closer to civilization (has cell service, nearby stores). If you stay here, go visit the cheese shop right off the main drag and say hi to our friend Mark!

Slightly further afield (~20 min drive) in the hamlet of Treadwell, my in-laws operate a short-term rental out of their former house which was built by my father-in-law. It’s a beautiful house on a nice chunk of land with gardens and a pond. If you’re interested in renting this property, reach out to us and give us a heads up - they offered to give a discount to any depot days participants!
